Head Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Head Engineer is responsible to provide supervision for the daily, weekly, and monthly activities of the technical O&M team in the plant. This role also includes preparation of the daily, weekly, and monthly reports needed for submission to DOE, ERC and the like

Reports to the Plant/Operations Manager all matters regarding plant operations.
Supervises daily activities of Technicians and Ground Keeping Staff.
Prepares monthly shift schedule of operations staff.
Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety policies, laws and utility regulations (i.e., NGCP and INEC)
Ensures that the plant is operated in compliance with policies of the concerned government agencies.
Responsible for complete operations activities of the plant, including but not limited to, directing operations team for compliance with dispatch instructions from the client, operation routines, switching operations, planning, and conducting annual capacity test, monitoring of equipment operating trends, and taking initiative in preventing equipment trips and damage.
Prepares routine reports such as daily and weekly production reports and provides necessary inputs for the Monthly Operations report.
Supervises any plant improvements, projects, or expansions.
Works with the Plant Manager in administering the preventive and corrective maintenance program.
Provides operational management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating and engineering data trends.
Identifies opportunities and takes action to improve plant output and availability.
Gives support and assistance to Vena Energy Technical team during the construction of NSEC plant and
Perform other duties as may be assigned.

With at least 4 years’ related work experience
Experience in substation or powerplant, electrical power system and transmission line operations and maintenance
